Order processing

Allow 3–5 business days for processing of in-stock orders after payment confirmation. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and U.S. federal holidays. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time. Preorders or special-order items, if offered, have the dispatch timing stated on their product page or written quote.

If we cannot dispatch your order within the stated period, we will contact you before that period ends with a revised dispatch date and the option to accept the delay or cancel the unshipped items for a refund. If you need books for a specific date, contact us before ordering.

Free U.S. standard shipping — $125+

Free standard shipping is available on online checkout orders with a merchandise subtotal of $125.00 USD or more after discounts, before taxes and shipping, to an address in our United States shipping zone. Select “Free U.S. standard shipping” at checkout; no code is required. This offer does not include international shipping or paid expedited services.

We select the standard carrier and service appropriate for the parcel. Eligible books may ship by USPS Media Mail; items that do not qualify for Media Mail use an eligible alternative service. Separately quoted library or bulk orders follow the shipping terms in the accepted written quote.

Other shipping options and charges

For orders below $125 or customers choosing a paid service, available shipping charges are shown at checkout before payment. Rates depend on parcel weight, size, destination, and service. Checkout currently includes a $6.99 Media Mail option for eligible parcels up to 1.5 kg and calculated USPS options, which include a 15% handling fee. The option selected at checkout determines the final charge.

Delivery and tracking

Carrier transit time begins after dispatch. Carrier estimates, when displayed, are estimates and are not guaranteed arrival dates. Timing can vary by destination, including Alaska and Hawaii, and during carrier disruptions. Tracking information is provided after dispatch. These transit estimates do not change the order-processing commitment above or your applicable rights.
