Abeke, Conor, Rollan, and Maylin travel to the Hundred Islands to find Mulop the octopus, who possesses a key talisman to defeat the Devourer. However, they are being pursued by invaders, and there’s a traitor among them sharing their movements. Suspicion looms over each of them—Abeke, Conor, Rollan, or Maylin. They will face challenges like a dangerous visit to cursed Night Shadows Island, a trip to the invaders' camp on Monster Island, and a journey on the giant stingray Kingray to reach Mulop.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to make it back from their journey. Who will ally with the invaders? Who will fall into captivity? Who will manage to elude the Devourer's cunning snares? And, most crucially, will our friends safeguard their precious talismans?
