A classic fantasy for children about the struggle between good and evil.
The four siblings - Peter, Edmund, Lucy, and Susan - moved into the home of an eccentric old professor during the war. One rainy day, while exploring the apartment, the youngest of the children, Lucy, finds herself in a huge wardrobe. This wardrobe leads to the magical land of Narnia, where a brave girl encounters enchanting creatures before returning home.
While the other children are skeptical of her claims, a few are determined to discover Narnia for themselves. Among them, the proud Edmund sets out to find a portal and meets the wicked White Witch, who tempts him with alluring promises. The hero wants to possess the magic of the world and does not support Lucy. However, the truth comes out, and all four children end up in Narnia. They are the prophesied ones who, alongside the lion Aslan, can save the magical land.
Clive Staples Lewis developed the story of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" for years, particularly drawn to the character of the faun with an umbrella in a snowy forest. He finally began writing the novel at age forty, which went on to become legendary.
